Generally speaking, the post production of film and television includes three major aspects:

1、 The assembly of shots is what we usually call the arrangement;

3、 In the future, when sound presentation and stereo presentation enter the film, we should also consider a problem of sound production in the later stage, including the straight montage presented in the later film theory. These three points are essential components of film and television post production.

The traditional TV modification is carried out on the modifier. The modifier is generally composed of a video player and a video recorder. The choreographer selects an appropriate piece of data through the video player, records it on the tape in the video recorder, and then looks for the next shot. In addition, the modifier also has a strong special effect function, which can make all kinds of overlapping paintings and images. It can adjust the picture color and make subtitles. However, because the pictures recorded on the tape are sequential, you can't insert a shot between the existing pictures or delete a shot unless you re record all the pictures after that. Therefore, this modification is called linear modification, which brings many constraints to the modifier. We can see that although the traditional arrangement methods have their own characteristics, they all have great limitations, which greatly reduces the creativity of the choreographer and wastes valuable time in the cumbersome operation process.
